Development of a new airport management model characterised by the differentiation of airport management and those activities related to air navigation control, so as to enable the entrance of private capital into the global airport management system and the participation of Autonomous Regions in the management system of certain important airports, while the State keeps most of the stocks.

Beneficiaries

The investment of private capital in our airports is a business chance for Spanish companies. The new management model will contribute to provide citizens with higher quality airport services and it will also make it possible to move on towards the implementation of a single sky project.

Development

It is currently under Development. The model was approved of by the Council of Ministers last 1 August 2008. At present, the necessary measures to implement it are being developed.
